The apartment is on 37 rue Aime Ramond. The front is found opposite the very baroque Mairie building and next to the police municipale. The actual street door will not be locked. Inside the lobby the doorbell for the apartment is marked McDonald. We will be there to meet you.
It would be really helpful if you could complete and return the attached reservation form as soon as you can. This really helps us to provide a high standard of service.

Getting to the Penthouse from Perpignan airport
Follow the direction ‘Foix’ from Perpignan. Is it a route nationale so the sign post is green. It is the same exit as Perpignan airport. You will keep following the direction Foix through Estagel, Maury, St Paul and Caudies eventually arriving in Quillan. From Quillan you follow the direction Carcassonne on the Route National D118 Keep following this road through Couiza, Alet les Bains and Limoux. When you drive into Carcassonne you will be on the right side of the boulevard for the parking as described below

There is a little shuttle outside the airport. Ask to get off at 'le dome'. Have a look on Mappy.com It is a 3 minute straight walk to apartment.
Alternatively if there are two or more in your party taxis are good value costing approximately around 13 Euros. Check with the driver.
There are three underground car parks in Carcassonne. This link shows the location of the one most close to the SNCF station but not to the penthouse.
Finding the Apartment from the SNCF station.
To
find the apartment from the SNCF station you keep walking away from the station and keep heading down the central
pedestrian Mall across the Bastide. Two
small blocks after Place Carnot Rue Aime Ramon cuts across. The apartment is to the left and then
immediately on the right next to the police station. The door is marked number 37 and the door on the street you just need to push it and you will be in the lobby. On the right are a line of bells and the apartment is marked McDonald. Ring the bell and we will be there.

If you have youngsters or a lot of luggage it may be a good idea to drop off some passengers and luggage in front of the apartment before parking the car. 37 Aime Ramond is one way and the apartment is the big grey door on the right after the police station. You can pull up for a few seconds there even if there is a car behind you to unload your bags with parking lights flashing.
To park you can then take the first right and you are on the parking of the boulevard which is 2.50 Euros a day. If you cross the Boulevard and go to the Dome it is free.
I recently found that our little local car hire place in Limoux can be competitive with last minute booking of car hire reservations. They have the disadvantage of being based in Limoux.

Street Parking
There is within the bastide itself some parking, both metered and free. The apartment is two short blocks away from the boulevard where ample safe parking is available at 2.50 Euros per day with a pay and display system (free between six in the evening and 9am, Saturday afternoons and all day on Sunday). Over the road in the area around the Dome there is free parking in the Dome`s car park.
The boulevard that surrounds the Bastide is one-way (sens unique). The part of the Boulevard most convenient for the Penthouse is on the Boulevard Barbes, just on the left after Place General de Gaul and Just before the Dome, where the Boulevard turns to the left and becomes Boulevard Camille Pelleton. It is closest to the Porte des Jacobins in the city walls. You will have a very good idea of scale and lay out by searching the apartment (37 rue Aime Ramond, 11000, Carcassonne) on www.mappy.com
